So much more green than when we first came through the area. The roadsides are covered and you can't see between the trees.
But there's still the snow and glaciers near the Turnagain Arm area.
There's a lot of traffic on this stretch of road and roadside pullouts to stop at. It isn't easy to get into and out of some of them with so many cars and RVs. Be careful! This time we didn't see many eagles near the water.
We planned to stop at Cabelas in Anchorage for the night. We both want to try on hiking boots. When we got to the store, we saw No Overnight Parking signs all over. We parked in the back where other RVs were and went inside and asked at customer service. They said no problem for one night. No longer than 24 hours. Sounds good to us. Curt checked out the dump station but it had a sign that said out of order.
We did some shopping there and unhooked the jeep the went to REI and shopped there. Other than getting used to airplanes, it wasn't a bad night. We had 3G 4 bar Verizon and some TV channels. There were about 8 RVs with us for the evening.
