Scaddan Wash, Quartszite, AZ

We decided to stop in Quartszite on our way to Yuma. Since the campground we were at didn’t have decent wifi to update the blog, we thought we’d see if we could find someplace in Quartszite that we could use. When we were coming in to Quartszite from the east, I got 4 bar LTE on the highway, so we thought we’d give Scaddan Wash a try.

Scaddan Wash is a free BLM area east of town which you can camp at for 14 days. There’s a registration area as you turn in. There is a dirt road that goes further along with spots to turn in to also. We found a spot a little past the registration area, had 3 bar Verizon LTE with booster and set up for the night. While I worked on updating the blog, Curt worked on his solar again.

We also went into town to see what had changed in two years and I had to mail some Christmas presents. The post office was busy, as usual.
