This week we had an Artist In Residence in the park which is made possible through a partnership between the North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department and The North Dakota Council on the Arts. This year’s artist was Terri Berg. She was here for the week painting and on Friday and Saturday she was at the amphitheater for a talk and a workshop. Sunday Juliet helped kids make paper and they painted on sheets she had already made ahead of time. (It has to dry three days).

Saturday there was an oil well explosion across the lake. We were in the Office at the time and it was loud and we could feel a rumble.
It’s been hazy from the wildfires.
Zach, the full time ranger, asked if we would help him cut and remove some trees.
