Turtle River State Park, Arvilla, ND

Turtle River State Park is 22 miles west of the town of Grand Forks. Constructed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, the park offers year-round recreational activities, including camping, picnicking, fishing and trails for hiking, mountain biking and cross country skiing.

You can click on any of pictures to enlarge them.

The park has water/electric hookups, primitive and tent sites, and cabins. There is a dump station, comfort station, amphitheater, picnic shelters, playgrounds and a lodge. We had good Verizon cell service and about 18 TV channels. The sites aren’t real large, not what we would call big rig friendly, and there are a lot of trees. They are $25/night.
