Mississippi Riverfront Campground is a city campground in Canton, Missouri along the Mississippi River. There are 23 sites, #1-10 are electric and water, #11-23 are electric, water and sewer. The price is $20 for any of them. There is a sewer dump and porta-potty. The sites have a picnic table and fire ring. We were in site #12 for two nights. We were able to get 10 TV channels and had Verizon cell coverage.

They do take reservations through City Hall, but we got there on a Saturday so they weren’t open. There is a sign posted with a reservation list along with some envelopes for self-pay. There were only a few spots taken for the weekend so we just picked an empty spot.
We’ve been watching barges go through the Lock & Dam. The one bad thing about the campground is that it is right by the railroad tracks, very close, and very noisy; not constantly, but throughout the day and night.
