The Lucky 7 Casino is our base camp for visiting The Redwood National and State Park Headquarters in Crescent City, and also Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. The Park Headquarters doesn’t have a parking lot that fits large vehicles, and depending on the traffic, you may or may not fit on the street parking. Not all of the visitor centers are open this time of year any more, and some of them are pretty small also. Instead of paying for a campground since we’re going to be gone all day anyway, we decided on the Casino free parking. There were very few vehicles at the casino lot so we parked there instead of behind the gas station (another area for RVs). We did have a semi beside us and also a minihome in the lot.
