Aurora RV Park and Marina, Nice, CA

Aurora RV Park and Marina is on Clear Lake. It is a Passport America participating park. Our rate was $19.06 for full hookups with 30/50 amp, wifi and cable. There are 63 sites, 7 sites lakeside. The main road divides the office, etc and the sites. Some of the pull-throughs are long, but most of the back-ins are short. The lakeside sites are tight. We were in a pull-through across the road, #60, at the end and it was tight with the jeep attached. We weren't able to open one slide because of a tree. The wifi worked fine. It was getting dark when we got there, so they told us to hook up and pay in the morning. She brought over a brochure with wifi code and TV channels. We didn't hook up cable TV and still got about 8 channels. Verizon was good.

It’s an older park and it looks like they are trying to fix it up. On their website they talk about a half a million dollars of renovations including a new seawall getting put up, dock, swimming pool, etc. that they are planning.

An alternative site, which we didn’t know about before I called them, are two casinos nearby that both had RVs parked there when we drove by.
