07/01/19 – Tanana River Bridge, Alaska Pipeline, Big Delta, AK

We took off toward Delta Junction, to see if we could find a place to stop with better cell service. We stopped at a boat launch area by the Tanana River Bridge,  mm 275.5. It’s a pretty big lot, and we parked at the back end of it.  We usually had 3G 4 bar Verizon, slow, but useable, but it would change to 1X.

The Alaska Pipeline also goes by the boat launch and we took pictures of it and the information boards. It must have been quite a project! 

Pipeline Security came through the lot and parked back in the trees behind us off and on throughout the afternoon and evening. We stayed for the night, along with a minihome closer to the water area.
