We finally got finished Sunday. It’s the latest our farmer has ever been harvesting beets, and he still has soybeans left to harvest. The weather has been crazy this past month with a lot of rain and even snow. Normally, with good weather, the sugar beet harvest lasts about two weeks; this time it was the whole month of October and four days into November. He even hired extra trucks and drivers.
Curt was able to drive the day shift again this year, even though starting at 5:00 in the morning it’s still pretty dark.
