5/26: Saturday. Happy birthday Korene!
We took the Jeep to Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum. It cost $18 each to get in. We also bought tickets for the cruise to Fort Sumter National Monument, which cost $17 each. (The only way there is by boat.) The next cruise wasn't going until 1:30, we got there about 11, so we went on board the ship which is basically a museum. They have self-guided tours. We walked through there until 1 and then went to the cruise ship to get on that. It takes about half an hour to get to the fort on the ship. We could spend an hour there, and then back to the dock again. It was interesting visiting both places. The ship was huge. We went back to that after we got back from the fort. There was a smaller ship there also which we toured. The submarine was closed for maintenance. The ship needs lots of work if they want to keep it from rusting apart. The fort was interesting also. I've never seen so many canons. I did a virtual cache there and a geocaching challenge at the ship.
We had been listening to the weather; tropical storm Beryl is coming around the George/South Carolina coast. We decided to go more inland and went to Goose Creek, South Carolina. There's a Pilot fuel station in Summerville which is only a few miles from this, and we couldn't find any stations near by that looks easy for an RV to get in and out of.
5/25: Friday. We moved in to South Carolina and went to Mount Pleasant, near Charleston. It is hot and humid.
