Acadia National Park is in eastern Maine and is located on Mt. Desert Island. Hulls Cove Visitor Center is open May through October. They have information there, along with a store and a free movie regarding the park. Seasonally there are free shuttle buses, and ferries (not free).

There is a 27-mile Park Loop Road which takes you to the ocean, the inland lakes and up Cadillac Mountain. There’s over 120 miles of trails, not including the carriage roads which can also be hiked or biked. Bass Harbor Head Light is a lighthouse on the island.
