Rocky Mountain National Park, Moraine Park Campground

We were at Rocky Mountain National Park in late September and it was perfect time for Aspen trees in color and for seeing elk.  We stayed at Moraine Park Campground without a reservation, and luckily was able to squeeze in to #129, an overflow site along the side of the road. It was $20/night, no amenities. There was a dump and water. Spotty cell service. No TV channels. Lots of hiking and driving to do.

I'm writing this many months later, so this post will be mostly pictures, with a link to more. You can click on the pictures to enlarge them.

There were a lot of elk.

 The Aspen trees were gorgeous.
Lots of hiking.

Beside our motorhome
Really high up!

Please click here for more pictures, including maps and brochures. It may take a bit to load, as there are a lot of pictures over the three days we were there.
