Made it to our winter home - Bentsen Palm Village RV Resort, Mission, Texas
We are going to be spending the next five months workamping here at Bentsen Palm Village RV Resort in Mission, Texas in the activities department. We've arrived early, with permission, and will work November of this year through March of 2015. We are working activities with three other couples, but don't really know how the hours/days will be working yet. The manager mentioned 5 days on, 10 days off. He is a new manager to this resort this year. It sounds like they've had a couple in the last few years. So, since this is all new to us anyway, we'll see how it goes!

Amigo Inn & RV Park, Zapata, Texas
Traveling from Del Rio to Zapata
This picture is a workamper doing gate-guarding as a job.
Amigo Inn & RV Park in Zapata, TX is a Passport America participating campground at $15 cash, normal rate of $30. They have full hookups, wifi (we couldn't get on), cable. We were in a pull-through (we had a road behind us and in front and fit just so). It is near a lake.

To Hidden Valley RV Park, Del Rio, Texas
Hidden Valley RV Park in Del Rio, Texas is a Passport America participating campground. We paid $13/night cash. We weren’t sure how long we were going to stay and she said no problem, just pay when you leave. I called ahead to see if they had room and if we’d fit. To get there you have to go through an old part of town and a residential area. We weren’t sure we were in the right place, and with a dead-end road sign. They don’t have an office. The barn on the brochure is a personal building of theirs. They do have a building with laundry and rec room. It had rained the day before and we sunk in soft ground. There is full hookup, cable TV & wifi (cable and wifi didn't work), 5 Spanish TV channels. We were parked right off of the road. I think they were mobile home sites at one time, being changed to RVs, so each one was fenced off, which was nice. The sites in the main campground, behind us, were like a normal campground, closer together, under a lot of trees.
