Kil-So-Quah Campground, Huntington, IN

Kil-So-Quah Camground is part of J. Edward Roush Lake recreation area about 5 miles southeast of Hungtington, Indiana. We found the site through freecampsites.net. The price is $15 for electric, or $12 primitive. We thought it was just 30 amp, but they have 20/30/50. The maximum stay is 14 days. We thought it was an Army Corps of Engineers park, which would have been half price for us, but it’s not.

The campground has 41 electric sites and 14 primitive sites. All camp sites have fire rings and picnic tables. There are 3 water spigots, some pit toilets, garbage dumpsters and 2 playgrounds. The primitive sites are closer to the lake, some with water view. There’s a couple electric sites in that area with a view too. We picked site #3, at the entrance. There is a dump station but it is at the boat ramp, which is almost 2 miles away.

One reason we stopped here was the temperature, 90+ degrees with heat index of 100 degrees for a couple of days. We were really glad it was 50 amp. We had 1-2 bars LTE Verizon, 3 bars at the water view sites. 50 TV channels.
