Balsam Cove Campground, Orland, Maine

Balsam Cove Campground is located 26 miles from Acadia National Park. It is also a Passport America campground, so we pay half of the regular price of camping. We used this as our base for going to Acadia NP and other sight-seeing.

With Passport America, in this campground you’re allowed to stay up to 5 nights for their price. The site we had was #75, a pull-through in an open area with 30/50 amp, water, and sewer. Most of the campground is a wooded area, except for the pull-through sites. They also have rental cabins and campers. There are 124 RV sites, showers, laundry, store, clubhouse, game room, playground, boat ramp, games, and a dog park. They opened May 15th and were still getting ready for Memorial Day weekend. There was free wifi and it worked good. We got about 10 TV stations.
