Almost caught up...

I've added a lot of posts this past week, and dated some of them as to when they should have been posted.  So, you may have to go back to October 19th to get caught up, with the Sugar Beet Harvest Review, and forward from there.

River View RV Park, Vidalia, LA workamping

We got to River View RV Park in Vidalia, LA on November 29th, with workamping to start on December 1st. We’re each volunteering 12:30 to 5:30 two days a week for full hookup site, free wifi, cable TV and laundry. Sheila works in the office and Curt is with maintenance. We’re on the south side of the office (which has cable TV and larger sites than the north side). We’re in the back row, but can still see barges as they come and go on the Mississippi River. 

The weather has been crazy here just like the rest of the country. When we first got here, it was 80 degrees. With the cold spell that went through recently, we’ve had some nights where it freezes. There’s been rain at least once a week.

     
 

Travels 1200 miles south

We left Fargo on I-29 going south, trying to stay in front of a snow storm. Pretty flat country in the beginning. Lots of dead deer in the ditches and side of the road. The further south we went, the more hills and trees. We got to see some areas where the trees were still turning color. Some areas of bad roads.
