3/27 - 3/29/14 - Croft State Park

Croft State Park is about 11 miles from Spartanburg, South Carolina. Since we couldn't stay at Magnolia RV Park for the weekend (their Passport America rule), we decided to try this state park. It's $18 for water and 50 amp electric, state park entrance fee included, which is really good for state park prices. Of course, once we got there and paid for it, tax and transaction fees, added to $21.56.  According to the campground map on the billboard, there were only 4 sites left for the weekend, kind of early in the year we thought for a full campground. The ranger gave us site 26, should be large enough for our rig. I asked him if the site was level and he said it was. We generally unhitch the jeep and drive through the campground to look at the spot first, but since he said we'd fit, and there were only a few spots left, we decided to take it, for 3 nights. I asked him what the cancellation fee was, a charge plus transaction fee. We knew better, but did it anyway. We never did get the coach level, and there were only 4 campers in the campground and a couple of tents. We have no idea where the 4 spots left came from.

And to wish our granddaughter, Calissa, a happy 7th birthday on March 28th!!

Entrance to the 50 amp campground.
Not the most level site - we never did get level

They rented kayaks and flat-bottom boats
We had two beautiful calm days.

A day of rain, which kept smoking up the neighbor's fire.

Lots of pot holes
