February 6th - 10th, 2014
A new window, some laundry, baking and mail, and a town called Ajo, AZ

Phoenix, AZ - had a window fixed

Gila Bend, AZ. We stopped at Holts Shell RV again for a couple of days for water/dump, laundry, baking and mail.

Ajo, AZ,  not far from the Mexican border and Border Patrol checkpoint.

Mexican travel insurance buildings all over town.

The historic hospital for sale for $5 million dollars.

Cornelia copper mine, open pit. It was closed in 1984. Had employed up to 3000 people at its peak. Each bench of the pit is 40 ft deep. It is 1-1/2 miles wide and 1-1/4 miles across. It is 1100 feet deep.

Ajo Historical Museum

As the mine grew in size, they had to "move" the town buildings.

BLM land, Darby Wells Road.

Lots of Border Patrols driving around (good!)
