Grahams Island State Park, Devils Lake, ND

Grahams Island State Park is in northeast North Dakota 16 miles from the town of Devils Lake. Devils Lake (the lake) is a closed drainage basin, and over the past decade the lake has risen over 25 feet. Grahams Island State Park is connected by road over an elevated embankment.

There are four campgrounds in this park; Howard, LaRose, Ziebach and Primitive. LaRose has full hookups, Howard and Ziebach have electric and water, and Primitive has no amenities. At this time of the year the campground is first come-first serve; the summer season it is 100% reservations. There are four cabins. They have comfort stations, vault toilets, playgrounds, an amphitheater, dump station, bait store, office, picnic shelter, boat ramp, fishing dock and fish cleaning station.

We were in the Ziebach Campground, site 37, with water and 50 amp electric hookups. We were able to get 8 TV channels. Our Verizon service was good and we were able to connect to a Chamber wifi. Cost is $25/night. It is a beautiful park and we were in peak season for leaves changing colors. Click here for State Park fees.
